Excitement before the first day

  Drawing Picasso's Guernica Time Lapse

I love this time-lapse video.  My co-teacher and I plan to attempt this later in the winter with some of our upper elementary students!

Tomorrow, I begin my position at Kingsley Montessori School.  I’ve just set up an online student gallery and can’t wait to start sharing the artwork my students create! I am full of energy, excitement and ideas.

    Emily -
I am so happy to hear that you are teaching nearby - When I left Westwood, I lost track of your job search in the Boston area.
I hear great things about Kingsley and hope you are enjoying each day. They are lucky to have you!

    Hi Anne!

I am very happy in my new job and am definitely enjoying each day there! Thanks again for all of your help and advice early in the job search, it kept me much more sane.
    Hope all is well,

    Emily,

Life is good. I am working at Simmons College as the curriculum specialist for a grant program called MassBLAST. The program provides paid internships for high school students from diverse backgrounds and/or those who are the first in their generation to want to go to college. This year we are working with students in 10 different sites - public and academic libraries across Massachusetts. It is a great combination of my teaching and library backgrounds as I not only get to work with students but also with librarians to develop curriculum for the program as well.
